Bay of Fires

2009 Washhouse Gallery Sydney

Kirk’s paintings combine natural forms and colors, inspired by a 2008 visit to Tasmania and a five-day hike along the Bay of Fires. He describes the area as “heavenly and serene, like walking across the sky,” which shaped his artistic style. He has since applied this approach to other coastal regions like Byron Bay, Suffolk Park, and Merimbula, capturing the vibrancy of dusk and moonlight.
